Terms of service
What we give you, what we ask of you, and what happens when something goes wrong.
This is a translation of the Italian original. If the two versions differ, the Italian text prevails.
CampeRino is a sat nav for motorhomes, not an autopilot. What it tells you — routes, heights, weights, “suitable for your vehicle” — is guidance built on third-party data that may be incomplete or out of date. When driving, you decide, with your eyes on the road and on the signs. By using the app you accept these terms; if they don’t suit you, the only thing to do is not to use it.
Who we are, what we offer
CampeRino is developed by Fabio Antonio Zaccaria, a natural person and not a company, with an address at Strada Venaria 158, 10148 Torino (Italy), who you can reach at info@camperino.app. The app is distributed through Google Play on Android and the App Store on iPhone, and these terms apply equally on both platforms: where the rules differ — refunds, for example — it says below what applies to each.
The app calculates routes taking into account your vehicle’s dimensions, shows maps, stopovers, car parks and waste disposal points, and guides you with voice directions. Some features are free for ever, others are included in a subscription: it is all written below.
Guidance, not guarantees
Maps, height and weight limits, restrictions, fuel prices, opening hours, weather and traffic come from external services (HERE, OpenStreetMap, the Ministero delle Imprese (the Italian Ministry of Enterprises), and others listed in the privacy policy). We do our best to use them well, but we cannot guarantee that they are complete, up to date or correct: a bridge may be lower than recorded, a road closed since yesterday, a restriction new.
That is why the app always says “guidance”, never “guarantee”. Responsibility for driving remains with the driver: the signs on the spot take precedence over anything the screen says, and we are not liable for damage resulting from following a direction against the evidence of the road. Use the app as you would use a paper map: a tool, not a substitute for judgement.
Don’t use your phone while driving: set the destination while stationary and let the voice do the talking. It’s the law, and it is also the way the app is designed to be used.
Free, trial, Rino Pro and Rino Max
Free for ever: navigation on foot, by bike, by car and by public transport, maps, place search, stopovers, car parks, favourites, tours and community.
Free trial: for the first seven days from the first installation on your phone, motorhome navigation is also included. The trial is tied to the phone, not to the installation: uninstalling and reinstalling does not restart it.
Rino Pro includes motorhome navigation, trip history, the cost of tolls and no advertising. Rino Max includes everything in Rino Pro, plus real-time traffic and Street View.
The features included in a plan may change over time: if we remove something from a plan you have already paid for, it stays available to you until the end of the period you paid for. What is free today does not become paid for anyone who is already using it at that time.
Subscriptions: how they are bought, renewed and cancelled
Subscriptions can be purchased only through your phone’s store: Google Play with your Google account on Android, the App Store with your Apple ID on iPhone. The price, currency and taxes are those shown by the store at the time of purchase, and may vary from country to country. We neither see nor keep your payment details: they are handled by the store, which is also the one that issues your receipt.
Every subscription (monthly, quarterly, six-monthly or annual) renews automatically when it expires, at the same price, until you cancel it. You cancel from the store, at any time: on Android from Google Play (Subscriptions → CampeRino → Cancel), on iPhone from Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CampeRino → Cancel. You remain subscribed until the end of the period already paid for, then you go back to the free plan, without losing the data you have on the phone.
If you change plan or duration, the store calculates the difference according to its own rules. If a renewal fails (expired card, insufficient funds) you have a few days to sort out the payment method before the subscription stops.
A subscription is valid for the account that bought it — Google on Android, Apple on iPhone — and does not carry over from one platform to the other: a subscription bought on Android cannot be found on an iPhone, because it is the store that sold it and not us. On a new phone of the same type you get it back with “Restore purchases”, after signing in with the same account.
Withdrawal and refunds
The subscription starts immediately, as soon as you confirm the purchase. By confirming it you agree that the service begins before the fourteen days of the right of withdrawal provided for by the Codice del consumo (the Italian Consumer Code) have passed, and you waive the right of withdrawal for that period (Art. 59, paragraph 1, letter o, Legislative Decree 206/2005).
Refunds are decided by the store, not by us, and the two platforms have different rules. On Google Play, within 48 hours of purchase you can request one directly from the Store. On the App Store that window does not exist: the request is made at reportaproblem.apple.com and Apple assesses it. In both cases you can still write to us at info@camperino.app: we can support your request, not grant it in their place. If you are refunded, the subscription ends immediately.
If the service is down through our fault for more than one day, we give you the lost time back by extending the expiry date: there is no need to ask.
⚠️ What is written above is in addition to your statutory rights, it does not replace them. If the service does not conform to what was promised, the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content provided for by the Codice del consumo (Arts. 135-octies et seq., Legislative Decree 206/2005) still applies, and no line of this document can remove or shorten it.
Discount codes and free gifts
A discount code — for example from a campsite or a dealer who supports us — gives access to an offer on a plan, at the prices shown by Google Play. Codes may have an expiry date and a maximum number of uses, cannot be combined with one another and cannot be exchanged for money.
We may give a plan as a gift to anyone we choose (people who help us test the app, people who support us). A gift has an expiry date, does not renew automatically and we may revoke it at any time.
Fair use: the community and respect for others
In the app you can make yourself visible to other motorhomers, write to them, choose a nickname, leave reviews of places and attach photos to your notes. All this only works if everyone behaves as they would in a stopover with people next to them.
Not allowed: pornographic or sexually explicit content; threats, insults, harassment, discrimination; content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others; unsolicited advertising or offers; nicknames, photos or messages that pass themselves off as someone else; any use of the app to follow, locate or harass a person.
If you do so, we suspend or revoke the service without notice and without a refund of the remaining period, and we delete the content. We report illegal content to the authorities. You can block anyone from the app and report abuse to us at info@camperino.app: we read everything.
You remain the author of your reviews and photos; you give us permission to show them to other users of the app for as long as you leave them published, and nothing more.
Service limits and suspensions
The app depends on external services and on a server of ours. There may be interruptions, for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control: we do not guarantee that the service will always be available. If an interruption lasts more than one day, the rule on gifted time written in the refunds section applies.
Each installation has a reasonable limit on requests, and there is an overall daily cap that applies to everyone: they are there so that a faulty copy cannot use up the service of others. Normal use doesn’t reach them; if it should happen, the app says so openly and the count restarts on its own shortly afterwards, without you having to do anything. We may suspend or revoke an installation that sends abnormal requests, that uses modified versions of the app or that attempts to extract map data: the data from HERE and the other providers is to be used inside the app, and may not be copied, bulk downloaded, redistributed or resold.
We may ask you to update the app to a minimum version: a version that is too old stops calculating new routes, but never interrupts a trip that has already started.
Your data
How we process data — what stays on the phone, what goes through our server, what is needed to start the trial and to recognise a subscription — is set out in full in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Changes, law, contacts
If these terms change in a way that matters to you — prices, plan contents, community rules — we will tell you in the app at least thirty days in advance; if you don’t agree you can cancel before the changes take effect, and the old terms apply until the end of the period you paid for. Corrections of form only change the date below.
Italian law applies. For disputes with a consumer, the court with jurisdiction is the court of the place where the consumer resides; for everyone else, the court of Turin. Before it comes to that, though, write to us: almost everything gets settled with an email. If that isn’t enough, you can turn to a mediation or conciliation body entered in the registers of the Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy (the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy) — for example the one of the Camera di commercio (Chamber of Commerce) in your city. We do not subscribe to any particular ADR body, and we prefer to say so rather than let you find out. ⚠️ The European ODR platform, which this document referred to until 24 September 2026, closed on 20 July 2025: if you find it referred to elsewhere, it is a reference to a service that no longer exists.
